Global Village released some of the highlights of the 25th season, which ended on May 2 after 190 days of celebration marking its 25th anniversary.
He also announced Season 26, which will be held in October, adding that more announcements and updates about the upcoming season will follow in due course.
Highlights include winning the “HSE Initiative of the Year” award, being named “Commitment to Sustainability” at the Middle East Cleaning, Hygiene, and Facilities Awards, receiving Trip Advisor’s 2020 Traveler’s Choice Award for being ranked in the top 10 percent of global attractions, and retaining the British Safety Council’s coveted Sword of Honour.

Season 25 began in spectacular fashion with Global Village rocking the world with the largest virtual rock concert in history. Artists from 80 countries joined Rockin’1000, the world’s largest rock band, for the opening concert. The show was streamed live on Global Village’s YouTube site and captured the imagination of millions of people around the world. Now United, the international pop phenomenon, also made a surprise live appearance at the event.
Season 25 saw 78 cultures represented in 26 pavilions throughout the park. More than 300 F&B outlets and as many as 3,500 retail outlets formed the region’s largest street food and shopping collective, demonstrating the resilience of the local economy. At the same time, Carnival delighted visitors with thrills for all ages. More than 160 rides, games of skill and arcade attractions provided hours of endless fun, while the six stunning galleries of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum housed more than 300 of the most remarkable collections of natural, scientific, artistic and human curiosities, artifacts and objects.
In keeping with its digital transformation aspirations, this season also saw Global Village take guest convenience to the next level with its brand new Global Village mobile app, which won three innovation awards at the Stevie Awards for the Middle East and North Africa. The park partnered with MobiiWorld to design the most accurate GPS navigation system on the market today, introduce e-commerce features for ticket purchases, parking payments, and Wonder Pass point purchases and recharges. Global Village has also partnered with emaratech, a leading UAE technology company, to introduce “GV Pay”, the next generation e-wallet launched to offer visitors the ability to pay contactless and cashless throughout the park. Global Village also used artificial intelligence to protect its guests and staff, including an autonomous security robot and cameras with artificial intelligence.
Global Village also broke 25 Guinness World Records in honor of the Silver Jubilee. Throughout the season, attempts were made with the support of guests and partners, providing entertainment and attracting attention from across the UAE and the world. A total of 70 fireworks illuminated the sky during the season 25 and the stunt show including high speed police car chases, fire fights, precision driving, upside down motorcycles, explosions and high falls were performed 484 times. Various festivals and occasions were also celebrated at the Global Village, including Diwali, Wonder of Winter, UAE Mission to Mars, Kids Fest, Ice Cream Fest, Easter and Ramadan. At the same time, collaborations with key partners have added value and excitement. The partnership with Jumeirah Beach Hotel allowed guests staying at the resort to visit the park and get exclusive privileges that enhanced their vacation experience, while the Etihad Baggage Claim Challenge with Etihad Airways rewarded one lucky winner with one million miles, AED 25,000 in spending money and AED 25,000 in shopping at the Global Village. Zahrat Al Khaleej did a great fashion shoot using clothes and accessories available in the park, which reinforced the perception of Global Village as a fashion shopping destination.
