Cafe Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.

• Conducting regular inspections of the Cafe kitchen to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.

• Helps customers select food and beverages by presenting menu; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; answering food preparation questions

• Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording customer's choices; identifying customer’s special dietary needs and special requests

• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression

• Serves orders by picking up and delivering customer’s choices delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars

• Responds to additional customer requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.

• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Supervising the floor and ensuring that all Cafe standards and sequences of service are met through all guests’ interactions.

• Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.

• Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.

• Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.

• Solicit feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage offerings

• Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to customers

• Get involved in reaching marketing goals, projects related to social media, promotion and presenting new ideas within the team.

• Thanks, guests, for dining at the Café when they leave.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
