Job Description

We are seeking a digital savvy, highly motivated content marketing executive with hands-on experience in implementing content marketing strategies to strengthen the position of two of our digital content platforms; cityscape-intelligence.com and energy-utilities.com.

The role will be instrumental in building a brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content online. This mainly involves executing content strategies alongside the content marketing manager, growing an online community, and tracking that community’s growth.

The individual needs to have experience in driving site visits through paid and organic channels. The person also needs to be analytical, and data orientated, commercially minded and with a history of testing and optimising, but with creative flair and exceptional attention to detail. One of the most important parts of this role is continual monitoring and analysis of published content. The candidate must be used to working with a range of digital marketing platforms and be accustomed to delivering in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications


Qualities & skills required for the role:

  • Understanding and experience of digital (PPC, SEO, online advertising) and direct marketing
  • Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting
  • Analytical and questioning mindset
  • Deadline and target driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Experience in using marketing automation technology (preferably Eloqua)
  • Experience in working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required)
  • Experience in managing social media through scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite etc.
  • Experience in marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics/Adobe or others)
  • Formal business/marketing higher education qualification
  • Experience using Eloqua and/or Adobe Experience Manager
  • Project management skills and attention to detail

Job Summary/Responsibilities


CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Work with Content Marketing Manager and editorial teams to action marketing campaigns to meet strategic objectives
  • Work with the Media & Marketing Solutions team (sales and marketing delivery) to influence client marketing campaigns from a content-first perspective
  • Effectively prioritise multiple projects in deadline-driven remote environment.
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver digital marketing, and social media in line with marketing plans to hit agreed KPIs
  • Work across both organic and paid content marketing channels to ensure the content gets found by the right audience.


ANALYSIS & INSIGHT

  • Monitor campaign performance, produce relevant and timely reports, and recommend changes to campaign execution based on data insights
  • Share relevant insights with Media & Marketing Solutions and Editorial teams to optimise client content campaigns, content themes or pursue new opportunities
  • Analyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns
  • Work with data & insights specialists to capture relevant and timely data (surveys, forms, industry research, etc.)
  • Use recommended campaign analytics dashboards daily to monitor performance
  • Ensuring continuous testing and metrics-driven decision making

MARKETING EXECUTION

  • In-depth knowledge of audience’s behaviors (I.e What do they care about? How do they search for content? What makes them click to open an article? How do they value our content?)
  • Ownership of execution, monitoring, testing and optimisation of weekly newsletters
  • Send timely, relevant communications through a full mix of channels and optimise the effectiveness of these channels
  • Deliver Content Calendar through relevant channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail, etc.) to ensure a strong web presence
  • Maintain active social media channels in line with market expectations, monitor engagement, and maximise conversion
  • Execute digital sales lead generation campaigns
  • Produce marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing as per templates given
  • Develop Media and relevant associations partnerships
