HR and Office Administrator

  • Reporting to: Head of People and Culture(HR)
  • Salary: 5,000 TO 7,000/AED
  • Location: UAE
  • This full-time role requires national travel, while offering the flexibility of remote working

Job Requirements:

Main purposes of the job:

  • Support the end-to-end HR administration and recruitment at ELA across UK and UAE offices as required.
  • Deal with basic HR queries and information as required.
  • Help employers recruit apprentices working with the National Apprenticeship Service to organise interviews etc.
  • Manage all office logistics, and IT equipment for the team, including company assets and logs, e.g., laptops, mobile phones equipment delivery, and the collection as required.

Job Outline:

  • Entering new starters and leavers onto company systems, welcoming new employees to the business, and developing ongoing improvements to corporate and local inductions.
  • Ensure all new starter information and induction courses are set up via e-learning, and office equipment is issued working with our IT Partners.
  • Issue Contracts of Employment in line with standard procedures under the guidance of your line manager and directors.
  • Conduct all identity and pre-employment.
  • Prepare HR data for monthly Board Reports for the Head of People and Culture.
  • Sharing leavers' information with the payroll team and any outstanding leave to be included in final salary payments.
  • ELA’s Single Central Record and all staff personnel records are constantly updated with all required information.
  • HR Systems are regularly checked to ensure the accuracy of the information for internal/external audits.
  • First port of call for employees that have an HR query.
  • Provide HR recruitment support for all service areas via the hiring manager including the booking of interview appointments and other logistics as required.
  • Note-taking at meetings e.g., investigation/disciplinary hearings.
  • Ensure effective systems for all HR administration to capture HR Statistics for accurate HR reporting.
  • Support administration of all corporate training activity/conferences etc.
  • Set up meetings for company directors as required.
  • Support line manager with requests for information on HR Policies, working conditions, etc.
  • All staff training information/CPD is logged on HR systems.

Work Type: Office-based: This role requires full-time work at a designated ELA Office in Egham, Surrey, or Dubai office UAE.

Requirements and skills:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, however, excellent transferrable skills will be seriously considered.
  • Excellent organisational skills – Be able to work on regular and ad hoc projects as required and be able to manage conflicting demands on time and workload.
  • Excellent IT Skills e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, setting up/ troubleshooting presentation equipment etc.
  • Familiarity with BreatheHR or similar HR databases/ability to learn
  • Excellent communication skills – Be able to liaise with people from around the business at all levels, not just in your team.
  • Great attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • 100% commitment to confidentiality and GDPR. You will have access to a significant amount of employee personal data etc. that is strictly confidential.
  • Approachable: You will need to be friendly and approachable and be sensitive when your colleagues approached you with requests or problems.
  • Great problem-solving skills with a “can-do attitude”


  • Good standard of all-round general education and experience, GCSE’s Maths,

English A-C (minimum requirement)

  • Preferred – Good first degree
