Job Description

The brand vision for the region is to make it amongst the top watch and jewellery players across the region in terms of image (brand awareness and desirability), turnover and profitability.


The Marketing and Communications Director is responsible to implement the marketing and communication strategy for Middle East and India with the aim to increase the awareness and visibility, maximize the sales potential, and optimize the new product launches.



  • Define client centric 360 Marketing and Communications strategy for the region, in line with HQ guidelines and market specificities and in close co-operation with brand director and other Exco members
  • Define and manage A&P budget with strategy in mind and enough agility to adapt to last minute opportunities or challenges
  • Implement the action plan in coordination with the sales team, boutiques and partners
  • Align retailers/ partners on strategy and manage joint marketing plans for the respective countries


  • Define sales budgets per product line
  • Animate the whole product range
  • Handle new products launches
  • Analyze sales in the region and set marketing strategy based on performance and priorities for the region and for the Maison


  • Have a dedicated focus and strategy for HJ category
  • HJ events calendar: strategy, pitch, set up and organization
  • HJ tools to be developed for VIP clients submissions
  • Clienteling treatment and gifting to be developed in collaboration with the retail team


  • Plan and implement effective media strategy to ensure optimization of Maison’s visibility through the right channels
  • Develop relevant media plan adapted to local specificities, with particular focus on digital and social media
  • Define, plan and monitor media budget and media plans with agency and HQ
  • Monitor constantly digital, social media and search performance, in close collaboration with HQ media teams and ability to adapt and adjust plans based on results
  • Integrate all communications: Aligned strategies between PR and Media and combine PR and Media ROI on a regular basis
  • Coop recommendation and management
  • Propose a regional PR strategy focusing on maximizing free exposure for the Maison
  • Accompany each launch thanks to targeted PR action plan (PR event, influencers selection, localized assets, photoshoots etc)
  • Define influencers strategy to develop visibility and focus on clientele target, market by market
  • Build relationships with press and leverage media investment through free editorials
  • Define and share with press precise objectives, major collection focus and PR angles


  • Propose global and relevant events strategy and program to maximize the Maison exposure and visibility for the region
  • Define the right mix of events (commercial, image, in-store, on location, etc)
  • Elaborate and propose partnerships to collaborate with at brand, market or boutique level, aligned with Maison’s standards, target audience and business objectives
  • Propose and brief external agencies. Manage contractors portfolio
  • Handle Client Treatment during Events
  • Budget planning and monitoring


  • Monthly reporting to HQ (product performance, marketing activities, A&P etc)
  • Communicate effectively with the Sales Team and the Richemont support functions
  • Coordinate marketing activities, A&P and calendars with regional partners
  • Product launch follow-up and analysis
  • Reports on competition: products, prices and action plans


  • Assure flawless implementation of regional marketing plans (budget, themes, timeliness) and assure timeliness and accuracy of monthly HQ reports
  • Motivate, challenge and coach team members to grow and to achieve targets
  • Define team and individual objectives; manage career expectations with HR and Brand Director


  • Manage the budget in line with marketing strategy mix and HQ guidelines
  • Manage and control the A&P budgets with HQ, Retailers and Business controllers


  • Education. University Graduate (Business Administration)…
  • Minimum 12 years of marketing and management in Luxury

Profile Required

  • Excellent leadership skills with proven track record of team management
  • Good business acumen, analytical skills and commercial sense; good balance between conceptual and pragmatic approach
  • Good understanding of new media/ digital marketing and proven track record of innovative applications
  • Client centric thinking and good understanding of luxury industry
  • Agility to adapt to various and changing environments, countries problematics and personalities
  • Knowledge of the region and cultural affinity
  • Very good contacts with local media/publishing landscape across the GCC
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Language: English (fluent spoken and written) French or Arabic are a plus
