Job Description

Pharma Business Partners is looking for a Principal to join their team. As a small business, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the team and hit the ground running on consulting engagements and business development.

The role offers the ability to engage in meaningful work from Day 1, with a view to grow towards partnership within the firm.

Role Requirements

Project Leadership

  • Strong understanding of global market access landscape with experience in executing market access projects, ideally also within the Middle East and Africa
  • Guiding teams and allocating resources as per project scope and objectives during weekly meetings
  • Managing a team of consultants; providing feedback, training and developmental opportunities
  • Providing guidance and acting as a mentor to junior team members
  • Experience in designing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis plans
  • Leading proposal development and handling client queries to ensure delivery of actionable insights
  • Performing quality assurance checks on data, reports and presentations

Business Growth

  • Writing key thought leadership pieces to be sent out as insights to clients
  • Contributing to proposals and considering new, innovative methodologies to help differentiate Pharma BP from competitors
  • Identifying new business and revenue opportunities through existing and potential clients
  • Participating in regular interactions with key stakeholders to keep abreast of the developments within the pharmaceutical and healthcare domain and to identify potential business opportunities
  • Identifying new clients and creating a list of business to bring on

Preferred Skills

  • Quantitative or life sciences degree from a leading university
  • 10-12 years of experience with more than 8 years of experience in market access / pricing research, ideally with exposure to the Middle East / Africa Track record of management and leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically across therapy areas
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate team members at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint and ideally GSuite products, Google Docs, Google Sheets etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in solving problems with an entrepreneurial mind-set
