Job Purpose

  • To welcome our clients in Aveda Salon and provide the necessary administrative support for the salon department

Job Requirements
Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • High school qualification

  • Administrative qualification

  • IT qualification

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of reception experience in a reputable salon or hotel

Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Functional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet every client in a warm and friendly manner and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times

  • Provide information to clients relating to services listed in the salon brochure

  • Identify the needs of the client by asking questions and appoint requested services

  • Handle client questions and concerns effectively and with empathy

  • Manage client complaints professionally and efficiently in line with the company after sales policy, escalating to management if necessary

  • Provide efficient and courteous handling of telephone calls

  • Manage the appointment system to achieve maximum productivity for each technician

  • Record details accurately and clearly to meet the salon requirements

  • Provide administrative support for the salon department

  • Manage all salon financial transactions regarding clients

  • Advise clients accordingly on retail products

  • Uphold municipality standards of hygiene and salon policies and procedures

  • Build relationships with clients and ensure all technical service is recorded for future reference

  • Encourage and inform clients of new trends focusing on upgrading appointments

  • Maintain a professional relationship with the clientele

  • Manage client retention with Book Back process

  • Encourage client referrals to achieve a full day column in line with working days and productivity growth

  • Maintain personal grooming standards at all times enhancing the image of the industry and Profile brand

  • Perform prep and cleaning of the reception area during working hours to ensure a comfortable environment for the waiting client

  • Report to management any concerns in connection with the salon departments and/or client issues requiring attention

  • Attend planned trainings as necessary to update skills

  • Update by self- learning to be confident within the role

  • Guide and supervise new reception staff as needed to support the department

  • Inform manager of depleting stocks as per individual technician request

  • Perform other role related duties as assigned
