Job Description

Senior accountants are in charge of reconciling account balances and bank statements, keeping track of the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A good Senior Accountant has good analytical skills and knows a lot about accounting. They use this knowledge to look at financial reports and forecasts. In addition, the ideal candidate has worked with and/or led a team of accountants and junior accountants.

Senior accountants also make sure that all of our accounting tasks are done correctly and quickly.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable and receivable need to be checked, allocated, posted, and reconciled.
Error-free accounting reports should be made and their results should be shown.
Analyze financial information and sum up your financial situation.
Spot mistakes and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spend less money.
Technical help and advice for Management Accountant
Accounting systems and procedures should be looked at and changed.
Accounting assistants and bookkeepers need to be managed.
Do your part to set financial standards and make forecasts.
Involve your department in the process of setting goals.
Prepare financial statements and make a budget on time.
Assist with tax audits and tax returns, as well as help with them.
Direct internal and external audits to make sure everything is done right.
This is how you make sure your staff is getting the job done.
To help with the month- and year-end close process:
Develop and write down business processes and accounting policies so that internal controls can stay and get better.
Make sure that you follow IFRS rules.
Liaison with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve our financial procedures is what I will do.
Wanted Skills and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a must. A master’s degree can be a good thing, too.

Must have worked in General Accounting for five years (experience with financial reporting is a plus but not required)
Has a general understanding of accounting, including rents, salaries, bank reconciliations, and other account reconciliations.
As a rule, you should have worked at a hotel in the United Arab Emirates before this.
Analytical skills and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel should be a must.
Communicating in English is easy for you.
