Primary Role Focus
Plan, coordinate, provide technical and engineering support, and act as overall single-point responsibility for the coordination and project management of the delivery of good and services on behalf of company. Control, review and process all documentation pertaining to company equipment and process. Deliver a high level of professionalism when dealing in both internal and external customer relations.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities*

Project overall oversight and responsibility for equipment deliverables; provide solution to enquiry and technical support to stakeholders (internal or external) as needed

  • Arrange and co-ordinate technical, operation and engineering support and input to the wellbore designs and to confirm project specifications and requirements are met
  • Coordinate with manufacturing for equipment ordering and provide clarification as required
  • Create and prepare calculations, simulations, sales proposal drawings and end of well reports
  • Equipment QAQC documents checks (as built dimensions, torques charts, pressure test charts, etc) for job requirement conformance to ensure smooth operation; maintain an up to date set of QAQC and technical/ operational documentation pertaining to the equipment and services
  • Review, identify, assess and manage operational and safety risks for installation, stimulation, shifting, milling, etc. job-related procedures for delivery of successful job
  • Provide on call technical assistance when needed
  • Present tool operations and information to clients, provide follow up on field incidents
  • Complete non-conformance/ issue and problem analysis reports, lessons learned (including for successes) and measures to promote continuous improvement.
  • Review all reports ensuring accuracy, grammar, and technical correctness before client submission
  • Participate in Packers Plus quality, health and safety initiatives, provide input to risk assessments for job related operations whenever needed.
  • Work well with all stake holders, both intra and inter-departmental team members
  • Ability to work with Team Lead and other Senior Well/ Technical Services Engineers to effectively delegate workflow within the group at all levels of business activity
  • Act as a leader and mentor to assigned Well Services Engineer/Technologist while exemplifying the highest levels of commitment to Packers Plus core values.
  • Work with bid proposal team members, sales representative and operations to satisfy all customer requests relating to engineering and well design.

Position Requirement
Experience and Skills

  • Technical Services/ Field Engineer min. 5 years (for senior role min. 10 years) of direct operational/ application/ coordination experience in the engineering and installation of oil/gas well completions; offshore experience advantages Knowledge of completions technologies and applications
  • Min. 3 years experience as a Liner Hanger/ Completion Coordinator (or single point of contact), or broadly equivalent role
  • 2 – 5 years experience in well completion design, planning and selection: – Multistage stimulation completion, and/or well construction Liner Hanger System, and/or other related product lines
  • Familiar with oil and gas related standards requirement, validation and quality grade, e.g. API 5CT, API 19LH, API 19AC, API 19D1 and NACE
  • Experience with completion & well construction engineering related software models or calculation; e.g. torque & drag analysis, tubing movement calculation, completion equipment stress analysis with various loading conditions
  • Familiar with shifting tool, plugs and prongs, standard completion flow control equipment are added advantage
  • Education and Training
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical) or other related field
  • Professional membership an asset
  • Completed specialization training courses in: completion equipment selection, tubing stress analysis, well control for completions, workover and intervention, etc. will be advantages
