As a Tanzu Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for the Midmarket territories based in the UAE, Saudi and Turkey. You are comfortable working in a matrix environment as a product specialist with ongoing interactions within an extended VMware account team. You have experience in achieving sales targets in the software world, building a portfolio of opportunities and closing deals, working with partners to drive pipeline. The strategic dimension of VMware Tanzu offerings requires prior experience engaging with high level decision makers (CxO level) and partners engaged in the sales cycle.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Within 30 days, you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the Tanzu offerings and get to know the entire VMware extended account team.
Within 60 days, you will be creating a model for sustainable growth, developing the activity that supports a healthy pipeline. You will be comfortable with the VMware Tanzu business model and the approaches to developing the growth and new opportunities needed to achieve your goals. You will have met with customers and begun to identify approaches to accelerate their application transformation.
Within 90 days, you will be comfortable building Tanzu sales approaches on each of the different Sales Plays, as well as with day-to-day execution, and you will be able to bring your own style and experience to the table.
From there you will have become a key member of the extended account team, and will be able to position Tanzu's role within the broader customer transformation strategy including their existing and partner ecosystem
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Implement a penetration and growth strategy for VMware Tanzu offerings within the overall commercial (midmarket) segment
Work with VMware Core Business teams on an ongoing basis to ensure that this plan is aligned with the overall commercial strategy and has the support of the entire account team and management
Understand and execute Tanzu Sales Plays to accelerate the deployment of our footprint in the market in a programmatic approach
Partner with Tanzu Labs and services teams to generate new application modernization opportunities and ensure that sales are consistently coupled with services to secure adoption and consumption
Update the Forecast and Pipeline Management tools (SFDC) on a weekly basis according to VMware standards.
