UAE Camel Racing Federation to Hold Second Camel Race 2021 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

On the directives of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyane, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyane, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the UAE Camel Racing Federation, organized the “Second Camel Race 2021” in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, in the South Sinai Governorate of Egypt, in partnership with the Egyptian Camel Racing Federation.

The race took place in Sharm El Sheikh Arena, with the participation of traditional camels belonging to Egyptian tribes from various governorates.

General Khaled Fouda, Governor of the South Sinai Governorate, said that the race completes a series of races that have been held in the city, stressing that it welcomes all camel racing enthusiasts.

He also thanked the leaders, government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their support of the event, noting the cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in organizing camel races in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Eid Hamdane, head of the Egyptian Camel Racing Federation, said that the renaissance of camel breeding is the result of these races and has placed Egypt on the map of camel racing in the Arab region.
